Written expressly for Shapira by 4 time Emmy winner Glen Roven, this concert piece for Violin, Orchestra and Narrator, based on a beloved children's book The Runaway Bunny. This children's classic sells 900,000 copies a year and is available in 23 different languages. Shulamit Ran's Violin Concerto written for Shapira, whose recording is due to be released in 2007-08 as part of a compilation of Ms Ran's works performed by Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for Albany Records.
"Concierto Latino!" Premiere

Shapira will premiere his very first composition, "Concierto Latino" with the Israeli Sinfonietta. Shapira's Latin infused three movement concerto influenced by the melodic and rhythmic elements of the Salsa, Tango, Rumba, Flamenco, Soleare.
