Shulamit Ran's Violin Concerto written for Shapira, whose recording is due to be released in 2007-08 as part of a compilation of Ms Ran's works performed by Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for Albany Records.
"Concierto Latino!" Premiere
Shapira will premiere his very first composition, "Concierto Latino" with the Israeli Sinfonietta. Shapira's Latin infused three movement concerto influenced by the melodic and rhythmic elements of the Salsa, Tango, Rumba, Flamenco, Soleare.
